The company
You’re considering letting us email the people who owe you money, in your name. You should know exactly who you’re dealing with before you do.

Ben Shaw founded PaySpotter and writes most of it, working with a team of engineers from the University of Pittsburgh and The Ohio State University. Between them they have spent their careers on systems where a mistake costs someone money, which is the right instinct for software that emails your clients in your name.
Mail goes to the people who wrote the code, not to a support queue. That is why it gets answered the same day, and why a fix usually ships that week rather than being filed as feedback and reviewed next quarter. If something we sent to one of your clients reads wrong, we want to hear it from you before we hear it from them.
Where we are
Carnegie Mellon is twenty-five minutes away and the city has quietly become one of the places this kind of software gets built — robotics, language models, payments infrastructure, all of it within a few miles. It’s also a region full of the businesses this is for: fabrication shops, contractors, suppliers, where the person chasing the invoice is the same person who ran the job. We didn’t have to imagine the customer. We grew up around them.
What we stand for
Written down because they’re easier to hold to in public.
Each reminder was read out loud and argued over before it shipped. Anything that sounded like a threat, blamed the recipient, or implied something we couldn't back up got cut. The people being chased are people you want to keep working with, and nothing we send should cost you that relationship to recover one invoice.
We don't take a cut of what you recover, hold your money, add fees, threaten anyone, sell your data or your clients', or report anyone to a credit bureau. Every one of those would make a better business on paper and a worse one to be a customer of.
Getting paid faster is working capital you already earned — it funds the next hire, the next machine, the next job you couldn't float before. That's the point of this. We do better when you're bigger next year than you are now, which is the only incentive we want pointed at your business.
We're early, and we say so: no phone line yet, no 24-hour support, no CRM integration, and QuickBooks Online is the only accounting system connected so far. Better said here than discovered in month two.
